Our Commitment to You

At Primeversity, we want every learner to have a positive experience. If a course doesn’t meet your expectations, we offer a fair and transparent refund policy to protect your investment.

This policy explains when refunds are available, how to request them, and what to expect during the process.


Standard Refund Window

7-Day Money-Back Guarantee

You can request a full refund within 7 days of purchasing a course if:

✅ You are not satisfied with the course content
✅ The course does not match the description
✅ You experienced technical issues that prevented you from accessing the course
✅ You purchased the course by mistake

Important conditions:

  • The 7-day period starts from the date of purchase, not the date you first access the course
  • You must have consumed less than 30% of the course content
  • The refund request must be submitted through our official channels (see “How to Request a Refund” below)

When Refunds Are Available

✅ Eligible for Refund:

Within 7 days of purchase AND you have:

  • Watched less than 30% of course videos
  • Downloaded less than 30% of course materials
  • Completed fewer than 30% of course activities/quizzes

Technical Issues:

  • You cannot access the course due to platform errors
  • Video or audio quality makes the course unusable
  • Course materials are missing or corrupted

Misrepresentation:

  • The course content significantly differs from what was advertised
  • The course does not deliver on promised learning outcomes

Duplicate Purchase:

  • You accidentally purchased the same course twice

Payment Errors:

  • You were charged incorrectly or multiple times for the same purchase

❌ NOT Eligible for Refund:

After 7 days from purchase date

If you have consumed 30% or more of the course:

  • Watched 30%+ of videos
  • Downloaded 30%+ of materials
  • Completed 30%+ of activities

Change of mind after significant consumption:

  • “I changed my mind” is valid ONLY if you haven’t consumed 30% of the content

Personal circumstances:

  • “I don’t have time to complete the course”
  • “I found a cheaper alternative elsewhere”
  • “My employer won’t reimburse me”

External factors:

  • Issues with your internet connection
  • Problems with your device or browser (unless platform-specific)
  • Your own technical skills or learning pace

Course completion:

  • You completed the course and received a certificate

Violation of Terms:

  • You violated Primeversity’s Terms & Conditions
  • You shared course content without authorization
  • You engaged in fraudulent activity

How Refunds Work

Refund Amount

Full Refund: 100% of the course purchase price is refunded to your original payment method.

Payment Processing Fees: Unfortunately, payment processing fees (charged by Stripe, PayPal, etc.) are generally non-refundable. In most cases, you’ll receive the full purchase price minus any processing fees.

Example:

  • Course price: £100
  • Processing fee: £2.90
  • Refund amount: £97.10 (or £100 if we absorb the fee)

Refund Timeline

Once your refund is approved:

  • Card payments (Stripe): 5-10 business days to appear in your account
  • PayPal: 3-5 business days
  • Bank transfers: 5-10 business days

The refund goes back to your original payment method. We cannot issue refunds to a different payment method or account.


How to Request a Refund

Step 1: Contact Support

Email us at support@primeversity.com with:

Required information:

  • Your full name
  • Email address used for your account
  • Course name and purchase date
  • Reason for refund request
  • Order/transaction number (if available)

Subject line: “Refund Request – [Course Name]”

Step 2: We Review Your Request

Our team will review your request within 2-3 business days. We’ll check:

  • Purchase date and time
  • Course consumption (how much you’ve accessed)
  • Technical issues (if applicable)
  • Whether your request meets our refund criteria

Step 3: Decision

You’ll receive an email with one of the following:

✅ Approved: Your refund will be processed within 2 business days, and you’ll receive confirmation.

❌ Denied: We’ll explain why your request doesn’t meet our refund criteria. You may appeal if you believe the decision was made in error.

⚠️ Needs More Information: We may ask for additional details or screenshots (e.g., for technical issues).

Step 4: Refund Processed

Once approved:

  • Your access to the course will be revoked
  • The refund will be sent to your original payment method
  • You’ll receive a confirmation email with the transaction details

Partial Refunds

In certain cases, we may offer a partial refund instead of a full refund:

  • If you consumed between 30-50% of the course (at our discretion)
  • If the course had technical issues that affected only part of the content
  • If the instructor made updates that significantly changed the course after your purchase

Partial refund amounts are decided case-by-case and communicated clearly before processing.


Bundle and Package Purchases

If you purchased a course bundle (multiple courses together):

Within 7 days: You can request a full refund for the entire bundle if you consumed less than 30% of ANY course in the bundle.

Individual course refund: If you want to refund just one course from a bundle, we can only refund based on the bundle’s proportional value (not the individual course’s standalone price).


Free Courses

Free courses are not eligible for refunds as there is no purchase price.

However, if you encounter technical issues with free courses, please contact support and we’ll resolve the issue.


Live Classes and Private Sessions

Pre-recorded courses with live components:

  • Follow the standard 7-day refund policy
  • If you attended a live session, that may count toward your course consumption

Private one-on-one or group sessions:

  • Must be requested at least 48 hours before the scheduled session
  • No refunds for sessions you attended or missed without 48-hour notice
  • Full refund available if the instructor cancels

Subscription-Based Access (If Applicable in Future)

Currently, Primeversity operates on a per-course purchase model, not a subscription.

If we introduce subscriptions in the future, a separate refund policy will apply to those memberships.


What Happens After a Refund?

Once your refund is processed:

✅ You will:

  • Receive your money back via the original payment method
  • Lose access to the course immediately
  • Receive a confirmation email

❌ You cannot:

  • Keep course materials or downloads
  • Access course videos or content
  • Receive a certificate for the course
  • Re-access the course without repurchasing

Refund Abuse Policy

We trust our learners, but we monitor for refund abuse to protect instructors and the platform.

We may deny refunds or suspend accounts if we detect:

  • Repeated refund requests across multiple courses
  • Consuming most/all of a course before requesting a refund
  • Downloading all materials then requesting a refund
  • Requesting refunds for fraudulent reasons

Fair refund requests are always welcome. Abuse is not.


Technical Issues and Support

Before requesting a refund due to technical issues, please:

  1. Contact technical support first: We may be able to resolve the issue quickly
  2. Try basic troubleshooting: Clear cache, try a different browser, check your internet connection
  3. Provide details: Screenshots, error messages, and device information help us assist you

Instructor-Specific Refund Policies

Some instructors may offer extended or custom refund policies for their courses (e.g., 30-day refunds instead of 7 days).

If an instructor offers a custom policy, it will be clearly displayed on the course page before purchase. Those terms override this general policy for that specific course.

Always check the course page for any special refund terms.


Chargebacks

If you dispute a charge with your bank or credit card company (chargeback) without first contacting us, we may:

  • Suspend your account pending investigation
  • Deny future refund requests
  • Pursue recovery of costs associated with the chargeback

Please contact us first. We’re here to help and will work with you to resolve any issues fairly.


Exceptions and Special Circumstances

We understand that life happens. If you have a unique situation (medical emergency, family crisis, etc.) that prevented you from using your course, contact us.

While we can’t guarantee refunds outside our policy, we’ll consider:

  • Course extensions (extra time to complete)
  • Account credits for future purchases
  • Transferring the course to someone else
  • Other accommodations on a case-by-case basis

Consumer Rights (UK & EU)

For UK and EU residents:

Under UK and EU consumer protection laws, you have the right to:

  • Cancel within 14 days of purchase (cooling-off period)
  • Receive a refund if the course is faulty or not as described

However, if you begin consuming the course content, you waive your right to cancel unless there is a fault with the course.

Our refund policy is designed to comply with these laws while balancing the rights of learners and instructors.
