Frequently
Asked Questions
Whether you are stuck on a course, sorting out a payment, or thinking about teaching here, we would like to hear from you. Most answers are faster through the links below than the form.
What if my business is both service and product?
Most are, eventually. Pick the path that matches where the money comes from today. A consultant selling a course on the side is still a service business.
Can I switch paths later?
Yes. The stages are bought separately, so nothing locks you in. If you switch, email us and we will work out the difference rather than charging you twice.
What if I am between two stages?
Take the earlier one. The overlap is short and the foundations are cheap to revisit. Starting too high is the expensive mistake.
Do I need business experience to start?
No. Stage 1 assumes you have an idea and nothing else. If you already have paying customers, start at stage 2 instead.
How long does a stage take?
Most people finish in [1 to 3 weeks] working a few hours a week. There is no deadline, so it takes as long as it takes.
Is this only for businesses in United Kingdom?
No. The material works anywhere. Tax, registration and funding specifics are covered for global businesses. Everything else is general.
How it works
What actually is Primeversity?
A business learning platform organised by stage rather than by topic. You pick the path that matches your business, pick the stage you are at, and get the courses that belong to it.
Why stages instead of just letting me pick courses?
Because most people buy the wrong thing first. Learning to hire before you have revenue, or to run ads before you have an offer, wastes money. The stages put things in a working order.
What is the difference between the two paths?
Service based is for people selling their skills: coaches, consultants, freelancers, agencies and creatives. Product based is for people selling physical or digital products. The problems are different enough to need different material.
Do I have to start at stage 1?
No. Start where your business actually is. If you already have paying customers, stage 1 will feel like ground you have covered.
Is there a live element, or is it all recorded?
Courses are recorded so you can work at your own pace. The live element sits in the Business Hub, where the workshops and webinars run.
Courses and learning
How long do I have access?
Lifetime. Buy it once and come back whenever the material becomes relevant again.
How long does a stage take to finish?
Most people take [1 to 3 weeks] at a few hours a week. Nothing expires, so there is no penalty for taking longer.
Do I get feedback on my work, or just a score?
Assignments are marked by the instructor against a real brief and come back with written feedback. Quizzes are automatic, assignments are not.
Do I get a certificate?
Yes, once you complete the assessments in a stage. It is downloadable and shareable, and it names the stage and the instructors.
Can I ask questions while I am learning?
Yes. Every lesson has a discussion thread and the instructor who taught it answers there. It is not a general support desk.
Payments
What does it cost?
Pricing is per stage and shown on each stage page. Buying the stage costs less than buying its courses one at a time.
What currency am I charged in?
Prices are shown and charged in pounds sterling. Your bank converts at their rate if you are paying from another currency.
Can I pay in instalments?
[Not currently. Each stage is a single payment.]
What if I buy the wrong stage?
Email us within [X days] and we will move you to the right one. You will not pay twice for the same mistake.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, within [X days] of purchase if you have completed less than [X percent] of the stage. Full terms are on the refund page.
Business Hub
What is in the Business Hub?
Templates you can use the same day, free workshops and webinars, business events, grants and funding opportunities, articles, and tool recommendations from people who use them.
Is it included, or does it cost extra?
Included from the day you buy a stage. There is no separate Hub subscription.
Do I need to be a student to access it?
[Some resources are open to everyone. Templates, replays and funding listings are for students.]
How often is it updated?
New resources go up [monthly]. Events and funding opportunities are added as they come in, so those move faster.
Are the funding opportunities specific to one country?
Grants and funding listings focus on [region]. The templates, workshops and tools apply anywhere.
